Riverdale Country School, where Gregg Hymowitz is on the Board, is thrilled by recent developments for four students. This team has just won a bid to be part of the Algalita Plastics are Forever International Youth Summit, which is a conference intended to teach youth leaders how to find solutions to reduce plastic waste.
The team from Riverdale was selected from 74 teams in 18 countries and a total of 30 teams, representing 14 countries, were selected to participate. The Riverdale team includes junior Dyaami D’Orazio, freshman Savannah D’Orazio, junior Kiara Santos, and senior Brett Miller. The Youth Summit will take place from March 11-13 in Long Beach, California.
